What is VALIDOL?

A chemic combination of menthol and valerianic acid, containing 30% of free menthol. Introduced by Schwersenzki in 1897. It is employed as an antispasmodic; in migraine; as a specific in alcoholic intoxication; as a prophylactic against seasickness, etc. Dose, 10-15 drops daily on sugar. V., Camphorated, containing 10 f0 of camphor, used in scotoma scintillans. Dose, 10-15 drops.
