What is SCATOCYANIN?

A derivative of chlorophyll, resembling but not identical with phyllocyanin, discovered by E. Schunck It crystallizes in rhombic plates, pale-brown by transmitted light, purplish-blue wiih brilliant metallic luster by reflected light, decomposed by heat, insoluble in ether, alcohol, or benzol: soluble in chloroform.
