If the white clot has become slightly stained with red blood- cells, it becomes yellowish Stratified clots contain layers of more than one variety. C., Distal, a clot formed in a vessel beyond the seat of ligature. C.-districts, the small divisions into which a clot is broken by the dissemination through it of the fibroblastic plasma-corpuscles. C., Proximal, the clot formed in a vessel above the seat of ligature.
