What is BISMUTH?

Atomic weight, 208 sp. gr., y823: meltingpoint, 2710 C. Bismuth occurs in nature mainly in the metallic state, also combined with oxygen as bismuth ochre, witb sulphur as Usmuth glance, and with tellurium as tetradymite. It is also found as bismuthinite, as bismuthgold at Maldon, Victoria, and in association with antimony in kobellite, hauchecornite and chiviatite. It is a lustrous, white, brittle metal of a reddish tinge, forming beautiful crystals, and forms alloys with other metals, of which one of the best known is Wood
